The Infection Control Nurse/Practitioner is responsible for executing and maintaining the number of aspects of the Infection Control Program in the Health care company. He/she is collaborating between all departments and the Infection Control Committee. You as a Infection Control Nurse/Practitioner carry on a routine monitoring program of patients and personnel. As well as the environmental problems which may cause a real or potential danger to the well-being of patients, visitors, or personnel of the Health Care Company.

Infection control nurse has to perform the following duties.

They have to participate in the infection control programs and must take initiatives to ensure that such programs turn out to be successful.

They have to treat patients suffering from contagious infection in the right manner.

They must educate people regarding the need to keep such patients isolated.

They must administer the right medication for prevention and treatment of contagious infections.

They need to isolate people who are suffering from infection and provide them the right facilities for recovering.

They need to investigate about the causes of infection and detail the precautionary measures that should be implemented.
