You as a Hibachi Chef will be responsible for engaging, entertaining, interacting and providing a unique dining experience to guests. Primarily to work in front of restaurant while cooking and preparing hot meals on hibachi tables directly in front of guests. Ensure correct food portions are being cooked and maintain the kitchen areas and hibachi tables clean and sanitized. Prepare and sets up food for cooking and side orders.
-Duties
The aim of this internship is to improve yourself as a professional and to become a part of a large team as well as to improve your culinary skills.
- Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of their special orders;
- Perform a cooking show for tables making sure his/her show and interaction with guests is entertaining;
- Provide customers with the requested information about the foods of the restaurant;
- Respond on customer’s requests in timely and efficient manner;
- Perform shift opening and closing duties such as cleaning;
- Maintain the working area clean and tidy;
- Prepare foods in accordance with company’s standards;
- Handle, store, label, and rotate foods in accordance with public health safety, state and local laws;
- Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
