Volunteer in National Park in Patagonia
The park‘s operators have set themselves the task of protecting this virgin piece of nature, and back in 2014 this Ecotourism and Conservation Project in Patagonia was founded. The privately managed park consists of approximately 3,000 hectares of land directly at the foot of the Chilean Andes. This nature sanctuary hosts ecosystems that are typical for southern Chile, especially pristine forests, also called temperate rainforests, overgrown by thousand-year-old trees (such as larch, mañío, coihue). This type of vegetation is characteristic of the cold temperate climate of the south of Chile. In this beautiful natural park there are also crystalline lagoons, idyllic mountain rivers, waterfalls and wetlands, which are home to a rich biodiversity of fauna and flora. Through controlled ecotourism, the sensitive and truly unique ecosystem has been made accessible to the public and is protected by sustainable management at the same time. An important part of this biodiversity conservation project is also environmental education to raise awareness in topics such as environmental and species protection.
