Working in housekeeping, you are tasked with different combinations of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of each hotel room. You will make sure that the bed sheets are well-arranged and clean and that the bathrooms are cleaned and restocked. As a worker in housekeeping you will be trained on the proper use of prescribed cleaning procedures, solutions, and equipment. You will also have to able to follow the specific hotel standards.
-Duties
In housekeeping, your duties will include complete cleaning operations of all the assigned rooms and other areas within a limited timeframe. Cleaning operations include supplying towels, new linens, toilet items, cleaning and writing supplies, and replacing drinking glasses and also sweeping, mopping, and polishing everything in the areas using hotel cleaning tools. The duties also include cleaning the rugs, carpets, curtains, upholstery and drapery, making sure that window blinds are free from dust and rearranging the draperies to their normal positions. All of the cleaning operations performed should be in accordance with the hotel procedures, cleanliness, and safety standards.

A great cultural reference point in Europe, this ancient city has been declared a World Heritage Site and contains a mixture of the diverse cultures that have settled it throughout history. The historic quarter of Cordoba is a beautiful network of small streets, alleys, squares and whitewashed courtyards arranged around the Mezquita, which reflects the city's prominent place in the Islamic world during medieval times.
-Requirements
Everybody is eligible in working in hotels, but the program is highly beneficial for those studying a degree related to tourism and hospitality. Previous work experience in the same field is considered an advantage.

Cordoba has much to offer in terms of art, culture and leisure, thanks to a myriad of cultural events that are organized here throughout the year: Flamenco festivals, concerts, ballet and other activities. These events are complemented by a number of museums and a good nightlife scene. Córdoba's real charms unfold as you explore the winding, stone-paved lanes of the medieval city to the west, north and east of the gaudy touristic area immediately around the Mezquita, wandering between wrought-iron balconies and lamps, potted plants, overhanging trees, golden-stone buildings and verdant interior patios, emerging every few minutes on yet another quaint little hidden plaza. Places to see in Cordoba are: One of the world's greatest Islamic buildings, the Mezquita, Medina Azahara, Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, Sinagoga, Palacio de Viana, Centro Flamenco Fosforito, Caballerizas Reales and Museo Arqueologico.
-Work Day
You will be working 8 hours per day with a break for your meal. There are different shifts at the hotel so you may be working in the morning, evening or night shift. You might have a straight shift (work 8 hours in a row) or a split-shift (work 4 hours first and after a break work another 4 hours).
