Hotel receptionists greet incoming guests and welcome them to the hotel. They confirm reservations, explain hotel amenities, give directions to rooms, and produce room keys. They also arrange for luggage to be brought to rooms upon request.

1. Welcome and greet guests. 2. Answer and direct incoming calls. 3. Inform guests of hotel rates and services. 4. Make and confirm reservations for guests. 5. Ensure proper room allocation. 6. Register and check guests in. 7. Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms. 8. Compute all guest billings, accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accounts. 9. Retrieve mail, packages and documents such as faxes for guests. 10. Listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone. 11. Provide accurate information about local attractions and services. 12. Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests. 13. Inform housekeeping when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning. 14. Enforce rules and policies of the hotel.

-Work Day

You will be working 8 hours per day with a break for your meal. There are different shifts at the hotel so you may be working in the morning,evening or night shift. You might have a straight shift (work 8 hours in arow) or a split-shift (work 4 hours first and after a break work another 4 hours).
