Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges. Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions for house phone and console operation. Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

-Area Description

Tenerife is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, off West Africa. It's dominated by Mt. Teide, a dormant volcano that is Spain's tallest peak. Tenerife may be best known for its Carnaval de Santa Cruz, a huge pre-Lent festival with parades, music, dancing and colorful costumes. The island has many beaches (with sands from yellow to black) and resort areas, including Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas.

-Requirements

Everybody is eligible to work in hotels, however the program is highly beneficial for those studying a degree related to tourism and hospitality industry. Previous work experience in the same field is considered a huge advantage. We are looking for open-minded people who are ready to work and are willing to meet new challenges in their life.

-Curriculum Activities

For those who love outdoor activities, the best entertainment on Tenerife and one of them - surfing. The Atlantic coast on the island is ideal for this. Diving is one of the most popular entertainment in Tenerife. You can visit one of the largest water parks in Europe. Loro Park - one of the largest zoos in Europe, has a unique collection of animals and birds. In Tenerife - you can also see the Flamenco Show.

-Work Day

You will be working 8 hours per day with a break for your meal. There are different shifts at the hotel so you may be working in the morning,evening or night shift. You might have a straight shift (work 8 hours in arow)
